With ongoing global public conversation around departure and arrival testing in the effort to safely open up travel again and protect borders, Scott Sunderman, our Managing Director for Medical and Security Assistance, recently chatted with Skyscanner sharing his expert insight on airport testing.

We know how important testing is as a means for keeping borders safe and giving people the confidence to travel when things get moving again as the vaccine rollout is expanded and local lockdowns are lifted.

“The best advice for travel COVID-testing is to plan ahead, given that requirements change very quickly. Make sure you check with your airline and destination country to confirm which test you need. Take your test at the earliest possible time within the requirements prior to departure, and don't eat or drink for half an hour before your test as this may affect your result.”

Watch the video below, as Scott covers:

  • the different tests available
  • how to find out which test is required for your destination
  • what to expect when the test is administered, and

If you’re arriving into the UK, Collinson offers a £198 test package for mandatory travel tests currently required by UK Government, directly in the airport terminal which can be booked here
