Collinson Innovation Challenge – Engaging Millennials in Travel Loyalty

23 November 2017
The next Collinson Innovation Challenge has been set and tonight we're hosting the next pitch event in partnership with Traveltech Lab (TTL).

The challenge is to create a digital experience to build engagement between millennial travellers and the hospitality industry beyond the point of making a booking.

From an initial pool of 20 entries, five brilliant start-ups that engage millennial travellers pre, during and post trip, have been shortlisted to showcase their solutions.

While the judging panel brings deep knowledge of the hospitality sector and millennial travellers, they'll be on the lookout for the ideal start-up to help develop a differentiated millennial experience for the hospitality sector.

Here's a round-up of the shortlisted five:

LikeWhere  - a personalised recommendation service which taps into the appetite for sharing and co-creation, which millennials are known for.

Jambo - think of it as the networking service for travellers. The service idea is built on the successful model of social and professional networks. They also add an interesting mix of machine learning logic to the solution.

Cloudhop - if you're an avid Instagram user or start your search for food experiences for travel destinations on social media platforms, this is for you. Cloudhop allows you to select insider travel tips from a network of likeminded travellers.

Grumgo - travel tips for city breaks at your fingertips, but Grumgo applies clever algorithms to make the most relevant suggestions based on the traveller's mood.

Stay4Skills - taking the sharing economy to the travel and hospitality sector. Connecting travellers who have skills, with home owners who have tasks.
