Collinson, is to feature in the new series of BBC One's Claimed and Shamed, which airs next week.

Mathew Crawford Thomas, Fraud Manager, Collinson, which handles claims for a number of insurers, will feature in episodes 1 and 3 of the fly-on the-wall documentary that delves into the work of the City of London Police's Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department (IFED). In the programme, Mathew recounts how he helped bring to justice two serial fraudsters who claimed against multiple policies with different insurers for claims totaling some £180,000.

Mathews's investigations and the evidence he gathered against Jay Solder (an insurance broker) and Umesh Gordhan (a housing benefits officer), who between them submitted over 30 bogus insurance claims across travel and household policies, were a major contributor to the successful prosecutions of both men - with Mr. Gordhan receiving an 18 month custodial sentence.

Robert Spindloe, Director of Claims, Collinson said: "Mathew's substantial evidence, gathered over several months, was crucial in enabling IFED to investigate and ultimately prosecute these repeat fraudsters for their crimes. He is a credit to the claims profession in terms of his commitment to raising the profile of travel insurance fraud and doing the best by our clients."

Mathew, along with other industry representatives can be seen on BBC One's Claimed and Shamed 11am weekdays from Monday 15th February.
