We strive to take responsibility in our operations and we are committed to driving sustainable practise throughout the entirety of our organisation; we’re already taking action but acknowledge there’s more we can, and will, do.
Since May 2022, all new Priority Pass membership cards distributed within the EU have been produced from at least 70% PET G recycled and recyclable materials. We have also initiated a programme to digitise membership materials to reduce printed and distributed physical content. These will be completely removed for all members throughout 2024-2025.
Sustainability is a key aspect in the design, development, and operations of our airport lounges. We have incorporated a number of features to ensure our lounges are built and operated with sustainability in mind such as recycled content in the lounge design, a plastic-free programme, and use of just-in-time cooking to reduce food waste.
We have introduced a salary sacrifice car leasing scheme in partnership with Tusker in the UK. This programme has been intentionally limited to electric vehicles. Through this scheme, we seek to provide a cost-effective mechanism for our employees to transition to electric vehicles, and to reduce our GHG emissions associated with employee commuting and business travel.
Our new corporate head office in London is powered by 100% renewable electricity delivered by SSE’s wind and hydro assets and certified by EcoAct. It also benefits from modern, upgraded LED lighting and various efficiency monitoring and action systems. The fit out was delivered with sustainability embedded by design, reusing most of the furniture, fixtures and fittings from our old offices.
Through FY23, we have expanded our data capture to a global coverage and are now able to share full global Scope 1 and 2 emissions. This includes our global offices and our wholly owned airport assets, comprising 15 airport lounges located across the United States of America.
