At the Collinson Foundation, we believe that meaningful innovation begins within communities when they’re equipped with the right tools, support, and belief in their potential. In FY2024, the Collinson Foundation awarded £27,000 in grant funding through its Community Grants Programme, supporting locally driven initiatives that create lasting social value.
Each selected for their strong connection to education, employability, or community well-being; these projects reflect the passions and personal commitments of our people who turn ideas into impact through direct support.
Grants reached communities in seven countries: UK, Ireland, Brazil, India, US, Hong Kong, and South Africa. Collinson Foundation has a global commitment to community-led change. From digital education to food access and youth mentoring, the programmes met diverse needs in local contexts.
FY24 was also a year of record investment into our Community Impact programmes, and we are now investing equivalent to 3% of our profits. It was most pleasing to see so many of our people rally to drive positive action, and the passion they have demonstrated when engaging with our community programmes.
The Collinson Foundation’s Community Grants Programme is designed to turn independent donations into collective impact. Open to every Collinson Group colleague, the initiative allows team members to nominate a registered charity close to their heart for a small grant. By empowering our people to support the causes they care about most, we’re helping smaller, community-based organisations scale their work and drive change where it’s needed most.
We focus our support on smaller charities that are often underfunded yet deeply connected to their communities. These organisations lead vital work in areas such as education, employment, and crisis relief, responding to local needs with innovation and empathy. With projects funded across the UK, Ireland, India, Hong Kong, South Africa, and the US, the programme shows how local action can create a ripple effect of global impact.
Every application to the programme represents more than just a funding request; we get to see the causes that are meaningful to our colleagues. They champion the causes they believe in, while funding decisions are made collaboratively by a panel of peers and Collinson Foundation representatives. This shared model ensures the grants are not only impactful but rooted in the values of our people. With successful grantees already making a difference, the programme is growing into a powerful platform for meaningful, community-led change.
We’re committed to breaking down barriers to education and employment for young people around the world. By supporting programmes that offer skills training, mentorship, academic access, and workplace inclusion, the Collinson Foundation is helping to shape brighter, more equitable futures.
The Collinson Foundation is a founding member of Save the Children’s Humanitarian Network. We respond swiftly to global and local crises, supporting food security, safe refuge, and disaster relief through trusted partners delivering vital impact.
