Collinson is pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Totty as Chairman of its UK Insurance entities namely, Astrenska Insurance Limited and Collinson Insurance Services Limited, with effect from 26th February 2019. Martin currently serves as a Non-Executive Director of Collinson’s Insurance Board and is a clear choice for this key role.
Martin has been on the Insurance Board since 2016 providing strategic direction as part of the continuing development of our business. In his new capacity, he will further strengthen the Insurance Board, bringing his wealth of experience and independent strategic challenge to our senior team.
Commenting on the appointment, David Evans, Joint CEO at Collinson said: "We are delighted that Martin has expanded his role with us. His experience and skills complement the already strong board, and I look forward to him continuing to challenge our thinking and providing an impartial viewpoint."
Martin added: "I am very pleased to continue my work with the board and be able to contribute to the strategic direction of Collinson at this exciting time as the business continues to develop its unique insurance and assistance proposition, having already invested heavily in technology and customer servicing."
Martin also serves on the Boards of two other regulated companies, Chief Executive of Barbon Insurance Group and Executive Director of Propgen Insurance Limited. Prior to this, he spent six years as CEO at FirstAssist Insurance Services, leading the sale of the business to Cigna and then undertaking a number of integration and international business development roles, before joining Barbon in 2013.
