Priority Pass, the world’s leading traveller experiences programme, owned and operated by Collinson, announces a new partnership with UC Card in Japan.

This partnership enables UC Platinum Card Holders in Japan to enjoy access to 1,300 airport lounges and travel experiences internationally, starting 1 August 2023. UC Platinum cardholders are entitled to six complimentary visits to Priority Pass’ extensive global network of airport lounges and travel experiences.

With travel returning at pace and travellers in Japan placing a heightened focus and value on experiences that are seamless, integrated and add value to their journeys, this partnership will further support UC Card’s growing portfolio of travelling cardholders.

Collinson’s recent survey found that travellers in Japan are placing a heightened focus and value on premium travel experiences. The survey, conducted with 4,750 consumers in Asia Pacific (11% of respondents being from Japan), shared that airport lounge access is ranked as their number one travel-related benefit. Past research has also revealed that travellers in Japan place a heightened value on additional travel-related experiences, such as dining discounts, airport transfers, baggage delivery and lifestyle and wellness benefits such as sleep pods and access to a wellbeing and fitness app – all accessible through a Priority Pass membership.

Given the return of travel and with consumers placing greater emphasis on premium travel experiences, brands have new opportunities to re-engage and deepen their relationships with their most valued customers; for instance, through travel loyalty benefits, such as access to airport lounges and travel experiences.
