On Wednesday 22nd September (10:00 BST), Our Global Medical Director, Dr Simon Worrell, and Global Security Director, Peter Cooper, will be sharing their medical and security expertise in a Travel and Terrorism Masterclass in partnership with The Travel Risk and Incident Prevention (TRIP) Group.
As businesses begin their return to travel in the wake of COVID-19, it is important for organisations to ensure they take into account both the risks that are new and unique to their travellers in the pandemic era, as well as the pre-pandemic ‘normal’ travel-related risks, such as the ever-present threat of terrorism.
The Masterclass will begin with a review of how organisations have responded to the COVID-19 pandemic in relation to travel risk management, before delving into a travel and terrorism masterclass, delivered by leading expert in counter-terrorism, Chip Chapman. The masterclass will explore past terrorist events in relation to motivations and intensions for attacks, as well as outlining how businesses and travellers can be better prepared for and protected from future threats.
